There are a total of five unique Mounts that can drop during the Alliance controlled Darkshore warfront event. This article will show you the location of each of the rares that drop a mount, which mounts they drop, and the best route to take to farm them. Pretty much, all the mounts are the same that both the Horde and the Alliance can receive. There are different rares for the Horde that drop some of these mounts, and their locations can be different. As such we have also made a map just for the Horde.
There are a cluster of 6 red circles with a white center. This is not a mistake on our part, these actually indicate the random spawn locations of a very rare mount. We say very rare, as only one person can collect it per spawning. The Frightened Kodo, is the kodo seen running away in the Terror of Darkshore cinematic trailer. We recommend giving the area a few flybys to see if he pops up, as soon as you see him, drop everything you are doing and interact with him straight away. You are competing against other players to claim him, and the first person to interact with this mount, will be the one to claim him.
1) Croz Bloodrage
This Orc hunter can be found standing over the wounded stag Grimhorn. Many people are under the impression that in defeating him, you could gain this stage as a mount for yourself, this is not the case. In truth upon defeating Bloodrage, you have a chance for him to drop a Captured Kaldorei Nightsaber, which gives you your very own Kaldorei Nightsaber.
2) Alash’anir
This purple Chimaera has a nasty acid breath attack. It is best to stand behind her to avoid getting acid blown all over you. Luckily she’s unable to turn her heads as she expels her acid, so once she starts retching, move out of the way. By defeating her, she may drop you an Ashenvale Chimaera of your very own.
3) Moxo the Beheader
Found in the upper north eastern corner of the, Moxo the Beheader patrols up and down the path that runs from the gates at the base of the mountain, to the cave near the top. If he has yet to spawn, he will respawn as he exits the cave. In defeating him, you might be able to find a Captured Umber Nightsaber on his corpse. In claiming this mount, you gain yourself an Umber Nightsaber.
4) Agathe Wyrmwood
This evil mage has the audacity to attack slumbering black bears. Watch out for her meteor strikes and bring her down. On her body you might find a Caged Bear, and inside it you’ll find Blackpaw.
5) Frightened Kodo
This rare mount drops form a random spawn rare. We say very rare, as only one person can collect it per spawning. You can see the map at the start of this article that shows the patrol path of the random location of the rare that drops this mount. The name of the mount is Frightened Kodo.
