During an Assault event, for both invasion or defensive scenarios. There will always be 5 Assault World Quests (AWQs) to choose from during stage one of the Zone Assault Quest (ZAQ) chain. As soon as you have completed the 4 AWQ, the ZAQ chain progresses and you are prompted to move onto the next area.
- But what happens when you ignore the 5th and final AWQ?
- Does it disappear once you’ve completed the ZAQ chain and handed it in for the reward?
For the completionist out there. You will be happy to know that the AWQs remain for the duration of the Assault event. This means that if you are looking for the most efficient path to follow to complete the ZAQs as quickly as possible. You can still return to the area, before the event ends and complete the last AWQ.
When Does Each Event End?
Open the map for the zone that the event is taking place in. At the top of the map you will see the invading faction icon and a timer counting down. Once that timer reaches zero, uncompleted AWQs are removed. Regardless of whether or not you have completed that ZAQ.
What Happens if I Miss an Event?
Aside from not getting any rewards. Missing an event is not a bad thing. There isn’t a global tracker, that’s keeping track of faction participation. Nor is there any PvP honor points gained by completing the events.
If you do miss the Assault, or want to take part in the next event. The next incursion will take place within 12 hours or the previous event ending. It will also be taking place on the other continent to the last incursion.
